About Ray
With Ray, tattoos are never “one size fits all”.
From the first consultation to the final touches, Ray collaborates with his clients, transforming their visions into unique, personalized artwork. Each piece is crafted with careful attention to the individual’s ideas, inspirations, and personality.

Every client who leaves Ray's table carries a new piece of art designed just for them. Each line is carefully placed to form a beautiful skin illustration, from the grand design down to the smallest dots.

Ray has been tattooing for over 15 years, though he’s been an artist all his life. He transitioned from studying the arts to sharing his talents with the general public through the medium of tattooing. Before securing his apprenticeship, Ray studied illustration, video game design, and pre-production at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. His creativity extends beyond skin to canvas, where he primarily works with acrylics. When Ray isn’t in the studio, he’s likely off on an adventure—whether hiking close to home or surfing in exotic locations.

Mission
Creating Meaningful and Personal Art
The mission of a tattoo artist goes beyond simply creating beautiful designs on skin. Tattooing is an art form that requires a deep connection with the client, an understanding of cultural and personal meanings, and technical mastery. Here's a breakdown of the core mission of a tattoo artist:

Telling Stories: A tattoo artist’s primary mission is to help people express their personal stories, memories, beliefs, and emotions through art. Each tattoo carries its own meaning, whether it's a tribute, a symbol of transformation, or a personal milestone.

Translating Vision into Reality: Tattoo artists work to understand their clients' visions and ideas, translating them into designs that match the client’s desires. This involves collaboration, interpretation, and creativity.
